THE BASICS: Write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA for the sake of privacy.

** Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf this forum ( [link] ) and browse the lists. Here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.


1. okay, first i would wish that all you guys on dA would make everyone happy by just clicking on the "Random Deviant" button and comment on their profile, and appreciate their art. if they havent yet posted anything, just drop by and say hi.

2. I AM REALLY POOR. i would like a subscription, and keep my cool neat little journal skin for a little while longer, and have all the cool features that i can get only with a subscription. it'd make my day if i did get one. cB

3. i dont mind fanart of my characters. it would be nice, and i would love you forever if you drew me some.

4. again, I AM REALLY POOR. i would like a black iPod Classic with the shitload of gigs, and i would draw you whatever you want if you give me one. and i would draw for you at least 20 pictures of your choice with the best of my ability. i would feel bad if i didnt pay you back for something that was really expensive. C:

5. i would like some more watchers. i know some peoples art may be better than mine, but i feel i havent been really popular with all of deviantart. and i would like some of you guys to watch my friends, too. they need some popularity too.

6. if any of you are Japanese (not you,, i know you are), and can speak fluent Japanese, i would love you for eternity if you could teach me. it would make my freaking LIFE worth while.

7. i have never been to NDK and would really love it if you could hook me up next year. i feel left out when my friends go, and makes me sad that they get to see awesome sauce stuff. ;A;

8. nothing in the world means more to me than to be wished luck on all the major contests that almost everyone participates in. i know i probably wont win, but it would be nice to know that everyone counts on me.

9. please please please please give everyone on deviantart love. i know some of them need it, and would highly appreciate it. i would too. thank you!
